What Team CMT is

Team CMT is what happens when a community decides not to wait. When you join and take part in an event, you help fund the research and the programs that change what life with Charcot-Marie-Tooth looks like. It is peer fundraising at its most personal: your race, your party, your story.

Some people lace up for an endurance race. Some throw a poker night or a paint night. Some write a heartfelt letter to everyone they know. There is no single right way to be on Team CMT. There is only your way, and a team ready to help you do it.

Three ways to join

Pick the one that sounds like you, or invent your own. Whatever you choose, the HNF team is right there with you.

Take on a challenge Run, ride, walk, or swim with CMT on your back. Pick a race or set your own goal and let your miles raise money for research.
Donate your birthday Ask friends and family to give to HNF instead of gifts. It is one of the easiest fundraisers there is.
Host an event A poker night, a paint night, a golf outing, a bake sale, whatever brings your people together. We help you pull it off.

How it works

  1. 1 Tell us your idea Reach out and share what you want to do, whether it is a 5K, a birthday, a card party, or something all your own. No idea is too small.
  2. 2 We set you up The HNF team helps you launch your fundraiser and supports you with marketing, invitations, planning, and more, so you are never doing it alone.
  3. 3 Rally your people Share your page and tell your story. People give because they care about you, and through you they come to care about the cause.
  4. 4 Fund the cure Every dollar you raise goes to CMT research and the programs that support families. You see exactly what your effort makes possible.
