Accessibility statement
The Hereditary Neuropathy Foundation is committed to making this site usable by every member of our community, including people with low vision, motor challenges, cognitive differences, and other disabilities. Accessibility is treated as a launch requirement, not an afterthought.
Conformance
We design and build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. In practice that means:
- Semantic, structured markup so screen readers can navigate the content
- Full keyboard operability, with visible focus indicators
- WCAG AA color contrast (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and controls)
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images
- Respect for reduced-motion and other system preferences
Built-in display & reading options
This site includes its own display and reading toolbar, so you can adjust your experience without a browser extension or a third-party overlay. Look for the accessibility button to open it.
Report an accessibility barrier
If you encounter any accessibility barrier on this site, please tell us through our contact form, including the page address and a short description of the problem. We treat accessibility reports as a priority and will respond within five business days.
