Editorial note: This post refers to Pharnext and its experimental CMT1A therapy PXT3003. Pharnext is no longer operating, and PXT3003 is not an approved or available treatment. We have kept this post as part of our historical record.

For the first time, investigators are seeking patients to participate in a pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial of Pharnext’s investigational pleodrug PXT3003 for the potential treatment of Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease Type 1A (CMT1A). The study expects to enroll approximately 300 participants across sites in the United States, Europe, and Canada.

Nine of HNF’s Centers of Excellence are now accepting patients for trial enrollment. To find participating centers in your area and their contact information, visit Centers of Excellence. Additional sites, including Canadian locations, are expected to be added over time.

To review inclusion and exclusion criteria and a complete list of trial sites, visit ClinicalTrials.gov and search for protocol number NCT02579759.

By participating, you can help advance the science toward what could be a first potential treatment for CMT1A. Please consider signing up and sharing this opportunity with others in the community.
