Presented by Miyabe Shields, PhD and Andrew Westerkamp

This CMT Thrive webinar examines cannabis as a potential tool for reducing symptoms of neuropathy (nerve pain and dysfunction) and improving quality of life for patients.

The first part of the presentation is a scientific overview of how cannabis interacts with the human body to reduce neuropathic pain, delivered by Miyabe Shields, PhD, a scientist who specializes in cannabinoid pharmacology. The second part, presented by Andrew Westerkamp, provides patients with practical guidance on using different cannabis products. Westerkamp is a cannabis cultivator and industry entrepreneur who lives with HNPP (hereditary neuropathy with liability to pressure palsies), and is a co-founder of Real Isolates LLC, a cannabis research startup created for patients by patients.
