CMT Gowns that Give

Support Charcot-Marie-Tooth research by donating a dress. Your gently loved gown can make a real difference, and the goal is 1,000 gowns donated and $50,000 raised for CMT research and patient programs.

Formal events only. Prom, homecoming, formal weddings, mother of the bride and mother of the groom.

Donation guidelines and proceeds

• All donations are final. No returns or retrievals.
• HNF reserves the right to donate or discard gowns that do not meet standards.
• Most gowns are sold in store; some may be listed online.
• 50 percent of proceeds benefit HNF’s CMT research and patient programs.
• Unsold gowns may be used for future fundraisers or donated.

How to donate, in four steps

   Pick your dress

   We accept clean, wearable gowns less than seven years old, free of stains, rips or missing parts. Altered gowns are welcome.

   HNF may recycle or donate items that do not meet quality standards.

   Request a free USPS box

   Visit your local post office or order a free USPS Flat Rate box online. Medium fits one to two short dresses, large fits one to two gowns or three short dresses. Boxes are free and delivered to your door.

   Package the dress with a donor note

   The donor note is required for HNF to receive the proceeds. Without it we cannot trace your donation back to the campaign. If you cannot print, a handwritten note is fine.

   Ship your dress

   Send it to Around the Block Boutique, 306B Rome Street, Carrollton, GA 30117, and write "CMT Gowns that Give" on the box.

   Drop off at USPS, roughly $17.10 for a medium flat rate box or $22.80 for a large, including tracking and $100 of insurance. Or ship from home with Click-N-Ship, printing the label and booking a free pickup.

Around the Block Boutique

Located in downtown Carrollton, Georgia, Around the Block Boutique is a welcoming consignment shop offering affordable formalwear for women of all sizes. Whether you are dressing for prom, a gala, a wedding or a college formal, there is a curated selection of new and gently loved gowns without the high price tag.

Since opening at 306B Rome Street, just behind the Courtyard by Marriott, the boutique has grown to more than 2,000 dresses and has welcomed shoppers from hours away. With consigned gowns arriving from homecomings, proms and special events across the region, there is always something new.
